Lambeth, Southwark & Lewisham Sickle Cell Community Forum
YFA has been involved in the development of the forum, providing capacity building support. This follows on from our earlier research into carers and service users’ views of health and social care provided by Lambeth, Southwark and Lewisham Primary Care Trusts. Forum members attend bimonthly meetings and may be entitled to receive expenses for transport and childcare. In addition, representatives of voluntary and community organisations can also receive training and consultancy sessions from YFA, as well as financial grants from Lambeth PCT to support and better enable their participation in this partnership work. See our related news section below for more info about expressions of interst for the evaluation of NHS Sickle Cell & Thalassaemia Screening Centre information leaflets. |
