Strategic Management - An independent perspective can often help an organisation move forward. YFA are increasingly working with partnership organisations to assist in developing a shared vision and strategic direction and plan programme objectives. We have worked with health authorities on the co-ordination of Equality and Diversity agendas. Project Management - Organisations have used YFA to develop projects such as youth training programmes, young people's health projects, and to provide locum project management services. Organisational Development - We work with organisations to assist them to build capacity to deliver services, review organisational structure and service delivery, develop new ways of working, identify and respond to staff training and development needs. We also assist small organisations seeking to develop, and provide non managerial supervision for staff. Research and Evaluation - YFA have worked with national organisations to research and evaluate issues such as access to and involvement in services by groups such as refugees, and to analyse the implications of anti poverty strategies for black and ethnic minority young people. Consultation - We have designed and implemented innovative activities and events to engage and consult with hard to reach groups such as members of black and ethnic minority communities, children and young people, young refugees and asylum seekers, and people with learning difficulties and special needs. Funding and grant assessments - YFA assess grants for national charities such as Comic Relief and Diana Princess of Wales Memorial Fund, and we work with organisations to identify sources of funding and develop competitive proposals. Conference and Events management - In partnership with the host organisation we aim to raise the profile of key issues via conferences, events and launches.
